Cranky Buns Recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Cranky Buns

2 cups water
1 cup skim milk
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups white flour
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 1/2 tablespoons wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package yeast

Recipe Directions for Cranky Buns

  1. Bring liquids and sugar to warm temperature, combine with egg slowly add in salt. Add yeast allow a few minutes to proof.

  2. Add flours a bit at a time, until dough forms and can be kneaded. Add more or less flour as needed until good working dough forms.

  3. knead 10 to 15 minutes or so until good gluten forms.

  4. Allow to rise for an hour or so until double. Punch down make in to loaves, buns, sticks or whatever.

  5. allow to rise another 30 mnutes.

  6. Bake at 350 for 20 * 30 or so minutes until done
