Recipe Ingredients for Cranberry Scones

1 spray cooking spray
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup dried cranberries, thinly sliced

Recipe Directions for Cranberry Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar; mix well and set aside.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together egg, buttermilk and melted butter.

  4. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined; fold in cranberries.

  5. Drop 12 equal two-inch mounds of batter on prepared cookie sheet about 1 inch apart.

  6. Bake until tops just start to turn golden, about 12 to 15 minutes.

  7. Yields one scone per serving.
