Recipe Ingredients for Cranberry Peanut Butter Cereal Breakfast Bars

1 cup Fiber One Honey Clusters
1 cup All Bran
1 cup Shredded Wheat
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup golden brown sugar
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup peanut butter

Recipe Directions for Cranberry Peanut Butter Cereal Breakfast Bars

  1. Spray a 8-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.

  2. Place cereal in a Ziploc bag and slightly crush with a meat mallet or rolling pin.

  3. In a bowl, mix cereal and sunflower seeds.

  4. In a pot, heat corn syrup, brown sugar, cranberries and cinnamon, to a slow boil over medium heat; remove from heat and stir in peanut butter.

  5. Pour over cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.

  6. Press mixture into prepared pan.

  7. Refridgerate for one hour or until set.

  8. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

  9. Store covered at room temp.

  10. Hint: when measuring corn syrup, spray measuring cup with non-stick spray before pouring in corn syrup. It makes it much easier for the corn syrup to come out. Works well for honey too.
