my first try at homemade granola bars... and they were pretty good!

Recipe Ingredients for cranberry granola bars

1 cup puffed rice
1 cup puffed wheat
121 g oats, 1.5 cup
4 tbsp wheat germ
2 oz almonds, slivered
4 tbsp light margarine
3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp brown sugar
3 oz cranberries, dried
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for cranberry granola bars

  1. toast puffed cereal at 425 for about 5 min

  2. toast oatmeal, wheat germ & almonds at 425 for about 6 min

  3. heat oil, honey, and brown sugar in saucepan over medium until heated and mixed. add vanilla

  4. pour in toasted dry goods and cranberries. stir until well coated

  5. press firmly into 9x13 pan coated with cooking spray and allow to cool completely

  6. cut into 12 bars
