Recipe Ingredients for Cranberry-Ginger Citrus Coulis

1/2 grapefruit, juiced
2 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 orange
1/4 cup pickled ginger, minced
1/3 cup dried cranberries, minced
1 tbsp salted butter
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp arrowroot
1 pinch of ginger powder
1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
3/4 cup water
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Cranberry-Ginger Citrus Coulis

Heat butter over medium-high heat in skillet. Add pickled ginger, cranberries, vanilla extract and remaining dry ingredients, except arrowroot. Once thoroughly combined add the juice of 1/2 grapefruit, the juice of 1/2 lemon and the juice of 1 small-medium sized orange. Mix together. Let simmer. Add water and mix together. Bring back to boil and mix in vinegar and arrowroot. Bring temperature back up and let simmer over low-simmer flame. Transfer ingredients to small bowl and blend or emulsify. Serve hot or cold.
