Filling, fruity and spicy oatmeal for those cold mornings.

Recipe Ingredients for Cran-Apple Oatmeal

2 t. brown sugar
2 t. ground cinnamon
1 t. ground nutmeg
3 medium (1lb.) apples, cored and diced
3/4 c. dried cranberries
2 c. regular rolled oats
2 1/2 c. water
1/4 t. salt

Recipe Directions for Cran-Apple Oatmeal

  1. Core and dice apples. Add apples, cranberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and water together in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Add rolled oats and reduce heat. Simmer for 5 minutes, remove from heat and allow to stand, covered for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. Stir before serving. Spoon into bowls and top with milk if desired.
