Recipe Ingredients for Cran-Apple Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup light butter
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup 2% milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cups dried cranberries
1 cup chopped green apple
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Cran-Apple Oatmeal Cookies

  1. This recipe was tested with Land O'Lakes light stick butter.

  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and nutmeg; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the oats, cranberries, apple and walnuts.

  3. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks. Yield: 5-1/2 dozen.
