Recipe Ingredients for Cracker Barrel Biscuits

4 1/2 cups biscuit mix
1 1/3 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon butter, melted

Recipe Directions for Cracker Barrel Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F.

  2. Mix first three ingredients together and add the melted butter into the batter.

  3. Stir ingredients until soft dough forms. Turn onto surface that has been dusted with flour.

  4. Knead 20 times, roll 1/2 inch thick, and place in an ungreased 8x8 pan.

  5. Place biscuits next to each other. When you have placed all of them in, flatten slightly and bake for 8-10 minutes.

  6. Optional: Brush melted butter when they are placed in the oven, and when you take the biscuits out of the oven.
