Appetizer size crabcakes, recipe makes about 24.

Recipe Ingredients for Crabcakes

4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup onion, vidallia, chopped
2 eggs
2 tbsp mayonaise
3 tsp dry mustard
1 cup crackers, whole wheat ritz, crushed
3 tsp old bay seasonings
1/2 tsp pepper
2 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 pound crab meat, lump
1/2 cup bread crumbs, whole wheat

Recipe Directions for Crabcakes

  1. Brown onion in 1 tbsp olive oil. Set aside to cool.

  2. Mix all ingredients with onion, EXCEPT crab and bread crumbs.

  3. Mix well, then fold in crab.

  4. Shape in patties and coat lightly with bread crumbs. Brown in oil, turning once, til lightly browned.
