Recipe Ingredients for Crab and Pear Salad

2 pears, bosc, chopped
8 ounces lump crab meat
1/2 cup basil (fresh), chopped (maybe 20 leaves?)
1/3 cup finely chopped white onion
1/2 cup shredded cabbage (OR chopped celery (or both)
1 salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped (cashews or almonds, or your nut of choice!)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or vinegar of choice)
2 garlic cloves, crushed and chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon mustard
2 cups butter lettuce

Recipe Directions for Crab and Pear Salad

  1. To make the dressing, just whisk together until well combined and smooth the apple cider through mustard.

  2. For the salad, mix everything but the crab and toasted walnuts.

  3. Gently fold the crab in.

  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and gently mix them together. Serve on butter lettuce and sprinkle with walnuts.
