Aside from its mouth-watering taste, Ginataang Alimasag is also rich in iodine and other minerals that make it a very nutritious dish. It helps keep your family stay healthy but just be sure they have no any allergies reacting on it.

Recipe Ingredients for crab in coconut milk

3 tbsp. cooking oil
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. ginger, minced
24 ounce coconut milk
1 cup squash cut in cube
900 g whole blue or rock crabs, well cleaned or 1 lb. of crab legs
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground white pepper
4 green onions

Recipe Directions for crab in coconut milk

  1. Procedures

  2. ? Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the garlic and ginger.

  3. ? Simmer the squash for few minutes until becomes tender.

  4. ? Add the coconut milk. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat. Let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

  5. ? Then, add the crabs, salt and pepper to the pot and mix well. Cover the pot and cook for 5 minutes. Add the green unions and simmer for another 3 minutes or until the unions are tender. Serve it hot.
