Recipe Ingredients for Country-Style Salad

4 cups romaine
1 red onion, sliced
1 small green pepper, sliced
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
1/2 cup feta cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic
8 kalamata olives
4 anchovy fillets
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil

Recipe Directions for Country-Style Salad

  1. Pour a little course salt into a salad bowl, then crush garlic clove and rub it around surface of bowl.

  2. Add salad greens, prepared vegetables, cheese, salt and pepper; toss lightly. Add oil and toss again.

  3. Add more lemon juice or venegar and oil to taste. Serve immediately.
