Recipe Ingredients for Country Gravy and Biscuit

2 Morningstar Veggie Breakfast Sausage Links, roughly chopped
1 tbsp buttery spread
2 tbsp whole wheat flour
1 serving (1 tsp) country gravy mix, like McCormack's
1/2 cup nonfat milk
1 tbsp Fat Free Non Dairy Creamer, like Coffeemate
1 tsp black pepper
2 biscuits, like Pillsbury Grands! Reduced Fat

Recipe Directions for Country Gravy and Biscuit

  1. In a small skillet at medium heat, saute chopped veggie patties with buttery spread until a little crispy and brown on edges. Careful sausage cooks fast.

  2. Stir in flour and gravy mix until throughly mixed with butter and sausage.

  3. Stir in milk, creamer and pepper, a little at a time. Using a whisk helps prevent lumps.

  4. Stir until texture is smooth and thick.

  5. Spoon gravy over split biscuits.

  6. Add salt, pepper or tabasco to taste.
