delicious chicken and macaroni that my grandma used to make. brings back memories and warms my heart just to smell it!

Recipe Ingredients for Country Chicken Casserole

3 lb chicken
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup green pepper
1/4 cup red pepper
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
16 oz tomato sauce
1 c water
1 1/2 cup raw elbow macaroni

Recipe Directions for Country Chicken Casserole

  1. cut chicken into 3in pieces

  2. drerge chicken flour/salt/pepper mixture

  3. brown in hot oil in skillet and set aside

  4. saute onions, pepper and a touch of garlic

  5. add carrots, water, and tomato sauce

  6. simmer about 10 minutes

  7. put macaroni in a greased casserole pan

  8. lay chicken on top and pour sauce over

  9. cover with foil and back at 325 for approximately 1.5 hours
