Oh my Goodness!! Who knew that fresh apples, crescent roll dough, and citrus soda could make such a wonderful treat!

Recipe Ingredients for Country Apple Dumplings

3 1/2 oz (3) crescent rolls
1/2 medium apple
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 oz mountain dew
1/2 tablespoons smart balance

Recipe Directions for Country Apple Dumplings

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Grease a small baking dish.

  2. Peel apple, then cut in half and then in thirds, core and set aside.

  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Roll each apple wedge in crescent roll dough starting at the smallest end. Pinch to seal and place in the baking dish.

  4. Melt butter in a small saucepan and stir in the sugar and cinnamon. Pour over the apple dumplings. Pour Mountain Dew over the dumplings.

  5. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
