Recipe Ingredients for Cottage pie with Lentils

1 cup peas
1 cup corn
2 cup mushrooms
2 lbs ground beef
2 cups of red Lentils
1 tbsp beef stock
5 large potatoes
1 tbsp butter
1/8 cup milk
1 tsp cloves, ground
2 garlic clove
3 can tomato paste

Recipe Directions for Cottage pie with Lentils

  1. start boiling potatoes

  2. spray skillet with pam

  3. fry onions and garlic

  4. add beef

  5. fry until brown on outside

  6. add beef stock simmer until most of water has evapourated

  7. add tomato paste and one cup of water

  8. preheat oven to gas mark 4

  9. leave on heat for 15 mins until water is mostly steamed off

  10. add mushrooms and lentils

  11. cook for 10 mins

  12. add peas and corn

  13. mash poatoes - add butter and milk for creamy mix

  14. put meat into oven safe dish, and cover with potatoes (sprinkle with cheese for extra sinful dish)

  15. Bake for 10-15 mins

  16. serve
