Be sure to use "ready to cook" lasagna noodles when making this dish! A yummy simple recipe that goes well with a roll and a Caesar salad! Freezes very well. 130 g of ready to cook lasagna noodles is about 6 noodles. 1250 g of pasta sauce is equal to about 1.5 jars of commercially prepared sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Corrie's Homemade Lasagna

130 g lasagna noodles
1250 g pasta sauce
1 pound hamburger
1 cup onions
1/2 cup celery
1 cup mushrooms
2 cups shredded cheese

Recipe Directions for Corrie's Homemade Lasagna

  1. Brown ground beef and season with preferred spices (avoid using salts) and add chopped vegetables. Saute until soft. Add pasta sauce until warmed through.

  2. Add a thin layer of sauce to Pam sprayed 8x8 square casserole dish, top with 3 noodles broken to fit. Top with 1/3 of sauce and 1/3 of cheese. Repeat, ending with cheese layer and be sure to alternate the direction of the noodles to ensure structural stability of finished lasagna.

  3. Cook covered with foil at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes. Uncover and continue to cook until done and cheese is browned.
