Cornbread recipe from Quaker Cornmeal package.

Recipe Ingredients for Cornbread

1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup corn meal
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1 large egg

Recipe Directions for Cornbread

  1. Heat over to 400 degrees

  2. Combine dry ingredients

  3. Stir in oil and egg, mixing just until dry ingredients are poinstened

  4. Pour batter into prepared pan

  5. Bake 20-25 min or until golden brown

  6. 9 servings

  7. Variation: pour batter into 12 greased or paper-lined medium muffin cups. Bake 15-20 min or until golden brown.
