Malt-O-Meal's version of cornbread. *Use Malt-O-Meal (dry) for the whole wheat flour.

Recipe Ingredients for Cornbread

1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Cornbread

  1. Preheat oven to 400.

  2. Combine all ingredients.

  3. Pour batter in an oiled 12 inch iron skillet and bake for 18-20 minutes.
