Corn Dogs and fried Potatoes w/ sliced Apples

Recipe Ingredients for Corn Dogs

6 cups yellow cornmeal
6 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cups white sugar
1/2 cup baking powder
6 egg
6 cups 2% milk
25 cups peanut oil for frying
12 1/2 oz hot dogs
100 cups diced cooked potatoes
16 cups diced onion
4 cups butter
1/8 cup salt
1/8 cup pepper
50 apples
800 oz 2% milk

Recipe Directions for Corn Dogs

  1. In a large skillet, cook potatoes and onion in butter over medium heat for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar and baking powder. Stir in eggs and milk.

  4. Preheat oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat. Insert wooden skewers into frankfurters. Roll frankfurters in batter until well coated.

  5. Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
