One of my favorite soups. Recipe called for bacon, but I had ham on hand. Would also be good with turkey bacon!

Recipe Ingredients for Corn Chowder

93 g celery
43 g onion
50 g red pepper
2 cups diced potatoes
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
6 tbsp flour
1 cup skim milk
3 cups skim milk (hot)
4 cups frozen corn

Recipe Directions for Corn Chowder

  1. Saute first set of ingredients until golden brown.

  2. Add second set of ingredients and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes.

  3. Bring to a boiling point and add the third mixture.

  4. Finally add the last pair of ingredients and heat, but do not boil soup.

  5. Serve with crackers or biscuits!
