Good for cold winter nights or summer during corn season.

Recipe Ingredients for Corn Chowder with Crab

1 medium onion
16 oz low sodium chicken broth
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c corn
1/2 lb fresh crabmeat, cleaned
1/2 c whipping cream
2 potatoes, diced
1/2 c celery, diced
1 tbsp herbs, your choice
1 salt to taste
1 pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Corn Chowder with Crab

  1. Sautee onion and celery until tender.

  2. Whisk flour into broth until smooth. Add to onions and celery.

  3. Add corn and potatoes to mixture.

  4. Bring to boil and reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes.

  5. Add whipping cream, crabmeat, salt, pepper and herbs.

  6. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes, until heated.

  7. Serve with salad.
