Recipe Ingredients for Corn Bread Low Fat

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 cup skim milk
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

Recipe Directions for Corn Bread Low Fat

  1. ina a large bowl, combune the flour, cornmael, sugar, baking powder and salt.

  2. In a small bowl, combu=ine the egg whites, milk and applesauce.

  3. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.

  4. Pour into a 9-in. square baking pan coated with cooking spray.

  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve Warm.

  6. Yield: 12 servings
