Directions
Fry bacon. Remove bacon from pan.

Combine 1/2 cup flour, 1 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper in zip-lock bag. (Ingredient list reflects fact that only 1/2 of flour mixture will stick to chicken.) Coat chicken in flour mixture and brown in bacon fat.

Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms to pan and cook until tender.

Crumble bacon over chicken. Add carrots.

Combine wine, broth, garlic, 1/2 tsp. salt, thyme, and parsley; pour over chicken and vegetables. Add bay leaf.

Simmer 1 hour.

Alternative: After browning chicken and onions, combine everything and cook in a crockpot.

Serve with rice or egg noodles.
