Recipe Ingredients for Cooking Light Stuffing

5 oz whole wheat bread
8 oz sourdough bread
1 apple
10 oz italian sausage
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
5 tsp olive oil
1 1/4 cups carrots
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 cups low sodium chicken stock
1/2 cups egg beaters
1/2 tsp thyme
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Cooking Light Stuffing

  1. Toast cubed bread.

  2. Cook up sausage, throw into bread.

  3. In half of the oil, cook up veggies. Throw in to bread/sausage mixture.

  4. In other half of the oil, caramelize cubed apple with sugar. Add to mixture.

  5. In a small bowl, beat eggs and stock. Add to mixture.

  6. Throw in herbs and spices. Cook in pan at 400 F for 20 min covered with foil, then 20 min without foil.
