Whole wheat Oatmeal Cookies ( The good for you cookie :)

Recipe Ingredients for cookiebakerelaine

1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 lbs. unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1/3 cup applesauce
2 large eggs
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
3 1/2 cups oatmeal

Recipe Directions for cookiebakerelaine

  1. Bake at 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.

  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg. Set aside.

  3. Combine in large bowl butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and applesauce, beat until well blended. Stir in flour mixture and blend until smooth, now add oatmeal, raisins and dried cranberries.

  4. Bake 12 minutes and I get 60-64 cookies total.

  5. Using a tablespoon not quite heaping.
