How to prepare fresh corn. Frozen values used because I do not believe the values for the fresh corn. Weight of fresh corn and cobs was the same as cooked corn and cobs. cvt

Recipe Ingredients for Cooked fresh corn

179 g corn, net from 2 large fresh ears, about 240 g each without husks (11179)

Recipe Directions for Cooked fresh corn

  1. In a large pan with cover, add enough water that would cover the corn. Put on cover and set to boil.

  2. Remove husks and silks. Add corn to the hot water, replace cover, and check after 30 seconds to see if boil resumes. Once it has, leave cover on, remove pan to a cool burner, and time for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove cover with and eat first ear while the other keeps warm in water with the cover off.
