Recipe Ingredients for Cooked cabbage with onions and bacon

120 grams smoked bacon
3 cloves garlic (chopped)
1/2 red onion (sliced thinly)
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tbsp honey
2 lb white cabbage (sliced thinly)

Recipe Directions for Cooked cabbage with onions and bacon

  1. Cut bacon into small pieces. Pan fry until crispy.

  2. Remove bacon bits and add garlic and red onion. Once these are soft (don't burn), add vinegar and honey. Reduce slightly. Add cabbage, mix thoroughly, then turn off heat. Add bacon.
