Recipe Ingredients for Consuelo's Honey-Garlic chicken

16 oz chicken tenders
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 pinch black pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 tbsp honey
1/4 cup hot water
1 tsp red pepper
1 tbsp chopped garlic

Recipe Directions for Consuelo's Honey-Garlic chicken

  1. In a large skillet, lightly braise the chicken tenders in olive oil - add the lemon juice and black pepper

  2. Once the chicken tenders are golden brown, add bell pepper and onion and saute for 3-4 minutes

  3. Mix the honey, hot water, chopped garlic and red pepper in a jar so the honey dissolves and makes a honey-garlic sauce

  4. Add the honey-garlic sauce to the chicken

  5. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes
