Each recipe equals about two cans of condensed soup. I use this in place of a white sauce for baked macaroni and cheese, but thin it down with milk and add the shredded cheese. Very good!!

Recipe Ingredients for Condensed Cream of Whatever Soup

1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup flour

Recipe Directions for Condensed Cream of Whatever Soup

  1. In saucepan, boil chicken broth, 1/2 cup of the milk, onion, garlic, pepper and salt for a minute or two. **

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 cup of milk and flour. Then add all together to boiling mixture and continue to whisk until the mixture boils and thickens.

  3. If using as a cheese sauce, add enough milk to desired thinness and then add cheese to taste.

  4. **diced onions (boil with broth for a few minutes)

  5. **fresh minced garlic (boil with broth for a few minutes)
