Coleslaw in a vinegar and oil dressing.

Recipe Ingredients for Coleslaw

32 ounces of shredded cabbage
1/2 cup shredded red or green pepper
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon celery seed

Recipe Directions for Coleslaw

  1. Toss all the vegetables together.

  2. Heat the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and celery seed until they boil. Simmer mixture for 4 minutes. Pour hot dressing over the vegetables and refrigerate. Refrigerate at least four hours before using.
