Yummy sweet rice that goes well with curry

Recipe Ingredients for Coconut Rice

3 tablespoons butter
1 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp turmeric
1 tspn cloves
4 black peppercorns
2 c dried coconut
2 c long grain rice
3 3/4 c water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp almond
1 tbsp cashews
1 tbsp raisins

Recipe Directions for Coconut Rice

  1. heat butter in saucepan and saute cumin, tumeric,cloves and peppercorns.

  2. stir in cocnut and saute until golden. add rice and continue to saute over medium heat for 2 minutes

  3. pour in water and bring to boil. lower heat and cover pan, let cook until water is evaporated (about 20 minutes).

  4. sprinkle nut and fruit over, serve hot.
