Recipe Ingredients for Coconut Dal

2 c yellow split peas
14 oz coconut milk
4 c vegetable broth
1 small onion, diced
1 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Coconut Dal

Rinse the split peas. In a large saucepan, place the split peas, coconut milk, vegetable broth, onion, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and salt. Simmer over medium heat until peas are soft, approximately 30 minutes. Sprinkle chopped fresh cilantro on top.
