Recipe Ingredients for Clipper Creamy Broccoli Soup

6 cup, chopped Broccoli
2 cup, chopped Chard, Swiss
1 cup Onions
6 cup (8 fl oz) Water
0.5 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
3 tbsp Cream, Sour, Reduced Fat, Cultured
2 tbsp 67% Buttery Spread
3 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tbsp Pepper, Black
0.5 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 Cube Stock Cubes

Recipe Directions for Clipper Creamy Broccoli Soup

Break up broccoli into flowers and bring to boil in large pot. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove broccoli and set aside water for stock. Put 1/2 the broccoli in blender and puree until smooth. Rough chop the remainder. Chop up swiss chard ends and onion. Melt butter in stock pot and saute until tender for 5 minutes. Lower heat and add flour. Stir until well mixed and add the stock slowly stirring constantly. Bring to a boil while stirring and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add the puree and chopped broccoli and stir in the milk, sour cream and seasoning. Add bullion and let simmer until thickened. Serve hot with french bread.
