I followed the recipe closely, but these didn't turn out anything like real Clif bars. :( But I guess they're good in their own right. With some tweaking, I think I could get it right with these ingredients.

Recipe Ingredients for Clif Bars - Homemade

35 grams Rice Krispies cereal
84 grams instant oatmeal original flavor
20 grams sunflower seeds
20 grams dried pineapple
30 grams pecan halves
62 grams light corn syrup
41 grams Nutella
48 grams Simply Jif
32 grams honey
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger

Recipe Directions for Clif Bars - Homemade

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the Nutella, peanut butter, corn syrup, and honey.

  2. Heat those four ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat, until the nut butters are melted.

  3. Pour the nut butter mixture into the dry mixture and stir. You may need to use your hands when it gets thicker.

  4. Spread the Clif bar mix into an 8x8" baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

  5. Use wax paper over the top to press down firmly.

  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, then cut and eat.

  7. Can be individually wrapped so they are ready on the go.
