Recipe Ingredients for Clean Turkey Basil Couscous Wheat Bran Meatballs

16 oz free range Ground Turkey, fat-free (99%)
2 tbsp garlic (minced)
1 whole medium white onion (chopped)
6 leaves fresh basil, chopped finely
1 pinch salt
1 pinch Spices Ground Black Pepper
1/2 cup egg whites
1 1/2 c. wheat bran
1 c. cous cous
1 green bell pepper (chopped)
1/3 c. unsweetened almond milk
1 Non Stick Cooking Spray 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Clean Turkey Basil Couscous Wheat Bran Meatballs

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl.

  3. Use hands to incorporate until meat and dry ingredients are completely mixed and there is none left over on bottom or sides of bowl.

  4. Shape each meatball (with approximately 2/3 c. of mixture) into round balls.

  5. Place each meatball in greased (spray) muffin section in muffin tin.

  6. Cover with foil and cook for 45-60 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes for browning.
