My favourite make ahead porridge.

Recipe Ingredients for Classic Oatmeal

1 cup Wheat, Hard Red Berries
1 cup Organic Steel Cut Oats
1 cup Scottish Oatmeal

Recipe Directions for Classic Oatmeal

  1. Steam wheatberries in 2.5 cups of water: cover wheatberries in water, bring to boil in uncovered pot, cover pot and lower heat so that water is at low simmer. Steam for approx 30-40 minutes. Rest, covered, off heat for at least 10-15 minutes.

  2. Steam steel cut oats in 3 cups water. Instructions same as above.

  3. Steam scottish oats in 3 cups water, same as above, except steaming time on heat is only 10 minutes.

  4. Combine grains and divide into single servings.
