Using the two types of extra lean meat gives it more texture and flavor and has the same amount of fat and calories as plain ground turkey. Use 1 slice of bread instead of the bread crumbs (wouldn't let me enter the slice).

Recipe Ingredients for Classic Meatloaf

1/2 lbs ground beef, extra lean
1/2 lbs ground turkey, extra lean
2 ounces onion, chopped
2 T milk, nonfat
1/2 cup ketchup
2 T dijon mustard
1/4 cup dried parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 cups Egg Beaters
1 3/4 T bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Classic Meatloaf

  1. Use food processor to chop up 1 slice of light wonder bread (pulse 10 times).

  2. Combine 2 T milk & bread crunbs in a large bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.

  3. Add 2 T ketchup and all other ingredients. Mix.

  4. Shape into 5x9 loaf pan that has been sparyed with cooking spray and top with remaining 6 T of ketchup.

  5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour on a broiler rack.
