Lowfat and low calorie basic pasta dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Clam Sauce & Pasta

6 oz uncooked whole wheat pasta
1/2 cup lowfat milk
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp margarine
2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp salt
2 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Clam Sauce & Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to directions.

  2. Drain clam juice into a measuring cup and add 1/2 cup milk

  3. Combine flour, oregano, salt and a dash of pepper

  4. Cook garlic and margarine on meduim heat for 3 minutes in a saucepan.

  5. Add flour mix and stir to combine

  6. Add clam juice and milk, slowly - stirring with whisk to avoid lumps. Stir until thick with wood spoon at medium heat.

  7. Add clams, parsley and lemon juice. Heat through and serve on pasta.
