Shrimp pasta with a fantastic flavor

Recipe Ingredients for Citrus Shrimp Pasta

1 tbsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 lb Linguine
3 tbsp Butter
2 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 lb Shrimp, de-veined
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/3 c Parsley
1 Lemon
1/8 tsp Hot Red Pepper Flakes

Recipe Directions for Citrus Shrimp Pasta

  1. Drizzle oil in a large pot of boiling water, add 1 tbsp salt and the linguine. Cook until ready.

  2. Peel shrimp.

  3. In another large pan (12-inch is good), put the olive oil over low heat.

  4. Add butter to 12-in pan.

  5. Once the butter has melted, throw in the garlic and sauté for about a minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  6. Throw in the shrimp, the rest of the salt, and the black pepper. Stir occasionally.

  7. Zest-grate half a lemon.

  8. Thin-slice 1/4 of the lemon from the side that wasn't zest-grated.

  9. Squeeze the remainder of the lemon into a cup.

  10. Once the shrimp has turned that classic shrimp-pink color throughout, add the lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon slices, parsley, and red pepper to the shrimp pan; stir.

  11. At this point, the noodles should be just about done. Drain the noodles, add the shrimp mixture, mix it all up and serve!
