Perfect for after intensive work outs. Not particularly low in calories, but they are all healthy calories, with lots of dietary fibers, calcium, iron and healthy fats (studies have shown that almonds help lose weight). Also good if you need to get your calorie count up quite late at night, but don't want to eat anything unhealthy.

Recipe Ingredients for Cithien's Work-Out Smoothie!

100 g fat free yogurt
1/2 banana
2 prune(s)
3 dates
40 g almonds
10 g peanuts, raw
200 g fat free milk (or soy milk)
1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
100 g organic apple juice (pear juice is also delicious)

Recipe Directions for Cithien's Work-Out Smoothie!

  1. If the dates have pits, uncover and throw away the pits. If they are covered in sugar, you might wanna rinse them.

  2. If you have vanilla beans lying around, they add a superb taste to the mix.

  3. Put all ingredients together in a blender and mix until smooth.

  4. Enjoy from a pint glass with a straw.

  5. Enjoy!
