The best way to start the day! I find this combination the perfect start of the day, with lots of vitamins, minerals and especially loads of dietary fibers to get the system up and running. And so tasty! It's easy, healthy, filling, and delicious! Enjoy!

Recipe Ingredients for Cithien's Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie!

1/2 cup (100 g) Fat free Yogurt
1/2 (65 g) banana
1/2 (50 g) carrot
6 medium (72 g) strawberries
60 g frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, etc)
30 g fresh spinach leaves
12 g fresh ginger root (squeezed in a garlic press)
17 g prunes
100 g Organic Apple Juice
2 tsp (5 g) ground cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Cithien's Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie!

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender, add a few ice cubes if the weather is nice. Mix until smooth, and pour into a 1/2 liter glass. Drink with straw.

  2. You can any fruits and veg's that you have available, use different types of juices, etc. Pear, mango, fresh mint leaves, avocado, figs, honey, squeezed lime, coconut milk, nuts, seeds etc, are all excellent ingredients. Use what you have and experiment! If you like the taste of fierce ginger, you can easily exceed 12 g. I usually put in around 20 g of fresh root. Does miracles to digestion! If you don't like the taste of ginger, however, you can also just cut it out of course.
