Recipe Ingredients for Ciorba de perisoare II

400 g potatoes
200 g onions
150 g tomatoes
150 g carrots
200 g ground pork
10 g wheat flour
15 g sunflower oil
100 g rice
50 g green peppers
300 g sauerkraut
100 g sno peas

Recipe Directions for Ciorba de perisoare II

  1. Boil the potatoes, carrots, green peppers, a bit more than a half of the onions (all chopped finely). (These are adequate quantities for a 5 litre pot.) Add the sauerkraut (including the "pickling sauce").

  2. Prepare the stones ("perisoare") in a separate pot from ground pork, roasted onions (chopped), rice, one egg (optional) and a bit of flour and sunflower oil. Mix and add to the boiling vegetables using a spoon.

  3. Add the sliced tomatoes, bring to a boil.

  4. Add another egg (optional), boil for several minutes more. Add the desired amount of salt and herbs (recommended : basil leaves).
