Recipe Ingredients for Cinnamon Swirls

2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups white bread flour
1/2 tsp salt
5 oz active dry yeast
1 egg
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp maple syrup
4 tbsp butter
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup currants

Recipe Directions for Cinnamon Swirls

Grease a 9-inch square baking pan with a little butter. Strain the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir in the dry yeast. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resumbles bread crumbs. Add the egg and milk and bring together with your fingers to form a dough.
