Recipe Ingredients for Cinnamon Swirl Bread

2 cups white flour
1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup low fat buttermilk
1/4 cup egg beaters
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Cinnamon Swirl Bread

  1. combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda and salt

  2. combine buttermilk, egg and oil

  3. stir wet mixture into dry

  4. mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in small bowl

  5. grease bottom only of one loaf pan and pour in 1/2 the batter

  6. sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar

  7. pour in rest of batter and top with cinnamon sugar

  8. bake at 350 for 45 -50 minutes

  9. Optional Glaze: 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon milk
