Recipe Ingredients for Cinnamon Rolls (flickr recipe)

235 ml skimmed milk
40 g vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
20 g brown sugar
180 g whole grain flour
190 g all purpose flour
10 g all purpose flour
2 tbsp baking powder
28 g margarine
16 g brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
60 g powder sugar
15 ml skimmed milk

Recipe Directions for Cinnamon Rolls (flickr recipe)

  1. 1 c nondairy milk (I used cow milk)

  2. 3 T vege oil

  3. 2 t vanilla extract

  4. 2 T brown sugar

  5. 1 1/2 c wheat flour

  6. 1 1/2 c all purpose flour

  7. 2 T baking powder

  8. Mix together dry then add wet and knead into a dough (after the dough formed I put mine in syran wrap and then into a bag and saved them for the next morning before I formed the rolls).

  9. Pat them or roll them in a rectangle.

  10. Pan filling

  11. 2 T margerine (I used butter)

  12. 1/4 c maple syrup (skipped this)

  13. 1/4 c brown sugar (I did 2 T)

  14. 1 t cinnamon (I added ground ginger, nutmeg)

  15. Pour margerine over rectangle dough and use pastry brush (I used the back of a spoon) to ensure even spreading of the fat onto the dough. Mix together syrup, sugar, and cinnamon and pour/sprinkle over dough. Roll dough up at the longest end and cut into 2 inch pieces. Roughly. Put onto a greased baking pan, leaving a little room between each roll to allow for rising (I used a slightly larger pie tin).

  16. Bake 375 F for 20-25 min (mine were done at 29 min).

  17. Remove from oven.

  18. Glaze

  19. 1/2 c confectioner sugar

  20. 1 T + non dairy milk ( I used juice from half an orange)
