Recipe Ingredients for Cinnamon Raisin Whole Wheat Waffles

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 large egg
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cups skim milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Cinnamon Raisin Whole Wheat Waffles

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and spices. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and oil. Mix together the wet and dry ingredients, stirring just till combined. Add raisins.

  2. Cook the waffles as directed in the instructions that came with your waffle iron.

  3. Yield: about eight 8" waffles.
