A soft, flakey scone with buttery hints of Cinnabon, lightly glazed.

Recipe Ingredients for Cinnamon Bun Scone

2 cups flour
1 cup oats
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
8 tbsp butter, chilled
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup pecans
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
4 tbsp milk
1 cup powdered sugar

Recipe Directions for Cinnamon Bun Scone

  1. In large bowl, mix together flour, oats, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup sugar.

  2. Slice the butter into the bowl and cut in pastry-style with two knives. (Alternative: Place dry ingredients in food processor; place pats of butter on top of dry ingredients and pulse 5-7 times, until combined.)

  3. In small bowl, whisk milk, butter, and vanilla.

  4. In food processor, chop pecans with cinnamon and sugar.

  5. Add milk mixture to large bowl.

  6. Stir minimally until just combined.

  7. Fold in chopped pecan mixture.

  8. Bake at 400 for 11-13 minutes.
