Recipe Ingredients for Cindy's Steamed Vegetables with Saute' Mushrooms, Onions & Garlic

6 oz. Broccoli, steamed
6 oz. Cauliflower, steamed
6 oz. Asparagus spears, steamed
2 oz. Mushrooms, chopped
3 oz. Garlic Cloves, chopped
3 oz. Onions, chopped
1/4 c. garlic oil
3 small potatoes, steamed
1 dash of salt
1 Ground pepper

Recipe Directions for Cindy's Steamed Vegetables with Saute' Mushrooms, Onions & Garlic

  1. You can use any type of pan or utensils like a Dutch oven with a steamer rack or a vegetable steamer or just an ordinary plastic sack.

  2. Bring water to a boil.

  3. Cut golden potatoes into bite size pieces, please on rack. Let steam for approximately 4 minutes. Do not remove.

  4. Add asparghus spears next and continue steaming for approximately 3 minutes. Do not remove.

  5. Add broccoli and cauliflower and steam for approximately 2-1/2 to 3 minutes or until tender, but not mushy.

  6. Note: Once all of the vegetables on in the steamer, light salt with sea salt and ground pepper.

  7. Meanwhile, in a skillet, preheat skillet.

  8. Add garlic oil and let oil get hot before adding next ingredient.

  9. Add onions and let cook until onions start getting brown, then add garlic. When both onions and garlic are crispy brown (almost burnt like), add the mushrooms and stir to mix all ingredients together. Let cook another 1 to minutes or until the mushrooms start softening.

  10. Remove from heat and top steamed vegetables with the onion/garlic/mushroom topping.
