Ground beef, spices, and tomato sauce make this a tasty treat to serve on white rice. It's a great mixture of spicy, salty and sweet.

Recipe Ingredients for Cindy's Picadillo

1 lb ground beef
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp whole cloves
1 cup olives, green
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Cindy's Picadillo

  1. Add olive oil to pan and saute pepper, onion, and garlic until soft.

  2. Add ground beef and brown

  3. Add sauce and spices

  4. Cover and cook for 15 minutes

  5. Add olives and raisins and cook for 5-10 minutes more until raisins are plump
